Realizing that I have not got my blog on in over a month, I decided to post about a new movie coming out that I wish to see. It is called Fantastic Mr. Fox. Based on the book by Roald Dahl, it should be an interesting movie. I have always had a soft spot for Fantastic Mr. Fox. In his world, he and his family are all fantastic. He was a thief but then needed settle down with his wife and soon to be baby fox. Two years later they are living the simple life but then Fox his persuaded to pick up the old habits again and goes on another theft run. Then more Fantastic stuff happens. The animation is all stop motion and just amazes me how they are able to bring such characters to life. Roald Dahl totally kicks butt. I love his story, the Old Lady From Bath. Classic. Fantastic Mr. Fox is in select theaters today, but won't be anywhere around here until Thanksgiving.

SWINE FLU PARANOIA
I think that picture says it all. I have been very worried about this "swine" flu that is going around. Being the germaphobe that I am, this makes me almost pee my pants. I absolutely hate being sick also. Any type of virus, disease, bug, or whatever you want to call makes my skin crawl of something fierce. Let's all please watch what we are doing so that no one here gets it. I might never show my face in this school again.

For Today - Talmidim (The Servants)
Probably the most inspirational thing I have ever heard in my life.
(Mattie's Speech: And through all of this, there is nothing, absolutely nothing, no fear, no insecurity, no doubt, no hesitation that will ever, ever stop us. Because we are the son of the living God. Because we are the children of the almighty. Because we are the residence of the kingdom of heaven and we are soldiers in an army of the immortal. And when we speak light, light happens. And when we speak healing, healing happens. And when we speak truth, truth happens. And when we go take what we found to a dead world, we will see it come to life again. When we take what we found to a hopeless world, we will see hope come back, we will see the hearts of our world start beating again and we will see the color come back in peoples faces and absolutely nothing will ever stop that and mountains will move before us and oceans will pour before us and the dead will raise before us and the world will know that our God is a God that heals, that our God is a God that lives, that are God is a God that loves unlike anyone has ever felt before because we are fearless, because we are his hand, because we are his feet, forever and ever...)
I have heard Mattie, the lead singer, speak four times now. Which also means I have seen the band, For Today, four times. Not only are they an amazing live band, but when Mattie begins his little speech, his dribble, it becomes a downpour. I have never felt so much passion in a man's voice before. If you like For Today and ever get the chance to go see them, DO IT! It might change your life forever. I know it did mine.

INCREDIBLE MACHINES!
Video From: http://www.chrisandsam.com/games/game.php?id=618
I found this while I was searching for some information on an old Commodore 64 computer system game called The Incredible Machine. Seems that some Japanese people made their own live version. Some of these just blow my mind. The pain-staking time they put into this must have been nerve racking. WOW! If you have the time, I would most definitely watch this as they get bigger and better as it goes on.
only if I could find out what they were saying after every single machine ends. It's kind of catchy in my opinion. So is the music. I find it irresistible at times even.

Daughter - As Cities Burn
LYRICS:
It's a shame what I thought of her
when I saw her that way.
It didn't change what you thought of her.
She's been your daughter since she was made.
Since I was made, I've been leaving.
I'd say I'd change but I wouldn't believe it.
It's 'cause my legs, they don't forget.
When they find a way out, they'll always take it.
Oooh we don't
Nooh we don't
we don't know how we got here,
the way is overgrown.
Oooh we don't
Nooh we don't
we don't know how we became this.
She has a name but I don't have to know
'cause all I'm after is all she has to show.
We cannot save, we can't even slow
our loss of innocence every new child has to grow.
Oooh we don't
Nooh we don't
we don't know how we got here,
the way is overgrown.
Oooh we don't
Nooh we don't
we don't know how we became this.
